The Heart of the Buddha's Teachings

Starts April 21st
Tuesdays from 7am-9am Bali Time (Mondays from 7pm-9pm EST)
What is the Buddha Dharma?
The Buddha Dharma is the path of awakening. It is the set of teachings the Buddha offered after his own liberation from suffering, revealing not only why we suffer, but how we can become free. At its heart, the Buddha Dharma is not about belief. It is about direct experience. It teaches us how to understand the mind, how to work with pain and emotional patterns, and how to live with greater clarity, compassion, and peace. This course is based on The Heart of the Buddha’s Teaching by Thich Nhat Hanh — one of the clearest and most accessible presentations of the Buddha’s wisdom. Through these teachings, you will explore:

  •  The Four Noble Truths — understanding suffering and the path to freedom
  • The Noble Eightfold Path — how to live with awareness and integrity
  • Impermanence and non-self — seeing beyond fear and attachment
  • The nature of consciousness and identity
  • How mindfulness transforms suffering into insight and liberation

These teachings are deeply aligned with yoga philosophy, and offer profound support for anyone on a path of healing, recovery, or awakening. This is not simply a course you study. It is a path you practice.
Is The Buddha Dharma Course For You?
The Gita Course is for you if...

  •  You feel called to understand suffering more deeply — not intellectually, but experientially.
  • You are on a path of healing and want spiritual tools to support your recovery.
  • You want to understand the mind more clearly.
  • You want to develop a meditation practice rooted in ancient wisdom.
  • You feel drawn to Buddhist teachings but don’t know where to begin.
  • You want to understand concepts like impermanence, non-self, and liberation in a grounded, accessible way.
  • You want to explore spirituality in a way that feels honest, embodied, and relevant to modern life.
  • You are a yoga teacher or space-holder who wants to deepen your philosophical foundation.
  • You don’t want to walk this path alone — you want sangha, community, and meaningful conversation.
  • You are ready to meet yourself with compassion and clarity.

Meet Alexandra
Hi, I’m Alexandra. I’m a yoga teacher, author, and long-time student of yoga philosophy, and I’ve spent the last decade studying, living, and studying yoga philosophy. I’m the founder of the Mindful Life Practice / Mindful Bali, where I lead yoga teacher trainings, philosophy immersions, and retreats for students from around the world.

I’ve been alcohol-free since 2019, and my own path has required me to apply the teachings of the Gita in moments of transition, boundaries, and building a values-aligned business. The Gita has been a practical guide for how to act, choose, surrender, and stay steady in real life.

Over the past several years, I’ve taught yoga philosophy to many students globally through Yoga Sutra Study cohorts, advanced teacher trainings, recovery programs, and live retreats.

I’m the author of Sober Yoga Girl and the host of the Sober Yoga Girl Podcast, where I explore how yoga philosophy supports sobriety, mental health, and spiritual growth.
